About Jim

Jim is co-founder of Survivalist Advisor. For the last 39 years, Jim has been a passionate desert off-roader whose explorations and adventures have taken him to some of the remotest desert environments in California, Nevada, and Arizona. These year-round epic desert experiences have left Jim and his riding partners confronted with countless survival challenges. With temperatures ranging from 120 degrees plus in the summer to below freezing temperatures in the winter, flash floods, vehicle break downs, quad-runner accidents resulting in serious bodily injuries, running out of gas-water-food, he’s become an expert on what survival gear is needed to survive in desert emergencies.
